Nick hard at work - Nick Frew

I am a teacher working in the French national education system. I teach English as a foreign language, history and geography. My studies took me from Exeter University in England to Padua university in northern Italy before completing my masters degree with a thesis on Primo Levi at Oxford university.

After moving to France 10 years ago, I began working in secondary school while also playing rugby professionally. This double occupation explains my twin passions of education and training, with a particular interest in nutrition.

After finishing my sporting career, I successfully competed in the French national teaching competition, the CAPES, finishing second in the country, an exceedingly rare occurrence for a foreigner.

As head of the European section, I am responsible for creating innovative teaching methods combining language learning with other subjects. I continue to create training and nutrition programs for several clubs.

I am also a self-confessed "learning addict" and as such, am constantly discovering more about everything from gardening to astronomy. I'm sure there is a book in me somewhere, but deciding on just one thing to write about is presently bejond my capabilities!
